YOU HAVE TO READ THIS, the topic is: OGAME CHEATS & OGAME ON WIKIPEDIA
Let me start by asking you: Do you cheat in OGame? Do you think OGAMEBLOG.com should have a cheating page? Do you think OGame players should know about these cheats? Are OGame Officers (geologists, technocrats, fleet admirals, engineer) legal cheats? Are cheats listed on OgameBlog cheat page, an alternative to paying for commanders? Do you support OgameBlog writing / informing you about cheats? It is after all a site all about OGame and cheats are one aspect of OGame.
I don’t know these answers. I would appreciate if you left me a comment (bottom of page) for me to make up my mind on having a cheat page or deleting it. Remember, nobody likes cheating, it would be best if there were no cheats and no commanders, but cheating does happen. Therefore, if cheats won’t be found on ogameblog.com they will be found somewhere else. My thinking is that OgameBlog is a site with “everything for OGame in one place”, so when I say everything I mean everything! Even though it’s a negative thing like cheating! So, don’t you think that all OGame players should be informed and aware of available cheats for OGame? Don’t you think its an alternative for the OGame commanders? I kind of feel like an OGame Robin Hood, (I steel from the rich, and give to the poor). Interpretation: “I steel” - a negative thing just like the cheats on my page. “from the rich” – players who had the money to pay for a unfair advantage of a commander. “and give to the poor” – I give the cheats to players without commanders and who want a fair game. So by doing a negative thing of informing about cheats, I’m also giving an alternative to the commanders. Maybe if there were no commanders, I would then seriously consider removing my cheats page.
Any way, why am I asking you and my self these questions? Well here is why. About a week ago I realized that some one had removed my link (www.ogameblog.com) from Wikipedia (article: OGAME). No problem, I put a link back up. The next day the link was removed again! As you know Wikipedia is a encyclopedia, edited by any body. So it was clear to me that some one didn’t want OgameBlog to be listed on such a popular page as the OGame article on wikipedia. I started to ask myself, who could it be that doesn’t want my site there? Maybe a webmaster of a similar site about OGame, who doesn’t what traffic going to my site? Or maybe my site sucks, and is removed by OGame players who are disgusted with it? In the next couple of days I go into an “edit war” on the wikipedia Ogame article. Every time I linked my site, someone would remove it. So I decided to put it back up, and again the same person removed it. He even did a dirty trick of putting a sign of ogameblog and linking it to a porn site! So for two days we have been editing one another, making about 30 edits a day. Finally I decided to ask the person why is he removing my link? So I asked him: “Why are you removing www.ogameblog.com from the external links page? I think it is a very useful portal for ogame. There are not many good ogame sites (especially in English) and also why did you label the site as "cheating site" take a look at it ITS ABOUT OGAME duuuuuuuuuuuuu” His answer: “Have you read the label? It sais 'cheats for ogame'. Look on it...lots of cheating programs. Sites like this one ruin the game for everybody. Cheat in single player games not in mmorpgs!” From that moment on I knew I was dealing with an OGame Administrator, OGame Operator, OGame Staff member, OGame Moderator or someone else from Gameforge. The next couple of days there were about 4 people editing my link (his buddy officers). Any way I wrote to them: “There are no cheats for OGame!! Only other programs and scrips, which are considered illegal by OGame. I clearly state on my page that they are illegal. And besides if any one does use a "ILLEGAL PROGRAM" he will be banned. This is Wikipedia edited by everyone not by OGAME OFFICERS!!!!!! And these "illegal" programs have a lot to do with OGame. I'm sure that OGame players would like to have access to my site because it has a lot of useful info.” There answer: “So you support people cheating in order to beat the honest gamer? the company is trash so what? I will continue to edit out your cheat site everytime its added. All you're doing is making the game even worse for those who don’t have the money to buy officers, and play the game honestly” My response to that: “Then what do you call OGAME OFFICERS -- Technocrat, Geologist, Fleet Admiral, Engineer!!!!(if you pay, you can cheat) give the people who don't want to pay for offices or cant afford, an alternative, because its not fair to them. Its clear to me that you must be a : OGame Administrator, OGame Operator, OGame Staff member, OGame Moderator or something else???? Because no OGame player would want to delete my site from wikipedia. Besides the site is all about OGame not only cheats! It has a lot of other thing (all about OGame) Like the title on the home page says "Everything for OGame in one place" and cheats are only one aspect of OGame which I can't ignore! Everything than everything.” This is hilarious isn’t it? A OGame officer is trying to convince me that cheating is bad ;p!!!! Here is some other reply which I lost track were it came from: “Hi, You asked whats wrong with the site? it eliminates the fair play, as if officers arent bad enough you have people who use what you give them to help destroy the game. How is that fair for the player who doesn't like to cheat? I mean if you're playing fairly and someone else is cheating isn't that really annoying? The site having cheats on it is what makes it wrong, I have looked around a fair portion of it is fine... but the fact remains as is it screws the player who plays with class.”
Finally I said screw them, and stopped putting my link on the OGame article in wiki. But the battle isn’t over!!!!! Guess what they did next. They Banned me, my younger brother, and my alliance administrator “Dadi”! They banned me because they saw my IP when posting my link on Wiki, therefore they looked for my IP in game. They found me and banned me! Then my younger brother got banned, because we share an internet connection. They decided he must go to, he didnt even do any thing. Finally “Dadi” my, alliance administrator got banned because of me, for which I apologies. The reason why is because I asked if he could write www.ogameblog.com on are alliance picture in are alliance page. He did so, later he was banned for allegedly “distributing a cheat”!!!!! This kind of pissed me off because, of me my brother and Dadi got banned. Besides they all were good accounts! The funny thing is that I never cheated on this account neither did my brother nor Dadi. Any way, I still have many accounts in OGame with different IP’s. ( below picture of pranger on which me, my younger brother, and my alliance administrator Dadi; are all banned. Check out the reason. )
Here are a couple of comment left on wiki OGame page for me: 1. “lol. It's a cheating website. That is the problem with it. That and copyright infringment. never mind...check Uni 9 pranger :P” 2. “Yeah .... we love your cheats... have you looked at you uni 9 account lately? whops. We don't like cheaters.” Then they emailed me (from my website form):

So as you see, I got screwed, for having available (to every OGame player) info on how to cheat! They also mentioned something about copyright infringement, but that’s another story which I write about in the near future. Remember what’s on Wikipedia article about OGame is crap, edited only by OGame Officers who keep a strong grip on every word written there. If they don’t like it, they will remove it / change it / get into a edit war like the one with me. Also if you decide to post something on wikipedia OGame article, and its about cheating or some other “illegal” OGame activity, HIDE YOUR IP; because they will track you in game, and ban you; just like they did to me. So that concludes this odd story. Please leave you comment (bottom of page) and tell me if you appreciate my cheats page or if I should get rid of it. On which side do you stand? OgameBlog is about everything for OGame, therefore cheats and hacks are one aspect which a site with everything for OGame must have. Weather there is a point in using cheats is not for me to decide. I only inform the OGame community of them. There is a positive aspect of having info about and how to cheat. You can read, learn and be aware that cheats like this exist. This way if a player is using cheats you can spot him, and report him so he will get banned. The only way you can spot people cheating is if you are aware that a cheat exists, and know how it works. OgameBlog is providing info for you (the player) to decide what to do with it. Ogameblog.com works best with Firefox, & screen resolution 1280x1024
